A simple, accessible, and visually stunning fall snack board featuring crisp apples, salty pretzels, sharp cheeses, and warm caramel sauce. Perfect for gatherings or casual snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Granny Smith), sliced into wedges or coins
  • 2 stalks celery, cut into 3-inch pieces
  • 1 cup red or green grapes, halved
  • 1 cup pretzel rods or twists
  • 1 package graham crackers, broken into squares
  • 1 cup crunchy cereal (e.g., Corn Chex)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts, toasted
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup melted white chocolate sauce
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 1 small wheel Brie or Camembert cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Wash apples thoroughly and slice into wedges or coins. To prevent browning, dip in water and lemon juice if not serving immediately.
  2. Cube the sharp cheddar cheese into bite-sized pieces. Slice the Brie or Camembert into thin wedges, leaving the rind on.
  3. Toast the pecans or walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until fragrant. Let cool completely, then chop.
  4. Break the graham crackers into irregular squares for a natural look.
  5. Arrange the cheese wedges and apple slices on a large wooden board or platter.
  6. Fill in gaps with pretzels, crackers, cereal, and nuts. Scatter grapes around for color.
  7. Place ramekins of caramel and white chocolate sauce on the board.
  8. Drizzle extra caramel over the nuts and crackers for a finished look.
  9. Serve at room temperature.

Notes

For best results, serve cheese at room temperature to enhance flavor. If making ahead, prep ingredients separately and assemble just before serving to prevent apples from browning and crackers from getting soggy. For a gluten-free option, use certified gluten-free pretzels and crackers.
