A quick, no-cook overnight oats recipe packed with protein from Greek yogurt and protein powder. Ready in 5 minutes, it’s a creamy, satisfying breakfast that keeps you full and focused.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup (50g) rolled oats
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk of choice (whole milk, oat milk, or almond milk)
  • ¼ cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) natural unsweetened peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A tiny pinch of salt
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) vanilla or unflavored protein powder

Instructions

  1. Choose a 16-ounce mason jar or airtight container.
  2. Add dry ingredients first: rolled oats, chia seeds, and protein powder. Stir to combine.
  3. Add peanut butter. If cold, microwave for 10 seconds to soften.
  4. Add wet ingredients: milk, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Mix thoroughly, scraping the bottom and corners, until no dry oat flakes or white streaks remain.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or peanut butter flavor as desired.
  7. Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight (8-12 hours).
  8. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of milk and stir again.
  9. Add optional toppings like sliced banana, fresh berries, extra peanut butter, or granola.
  10. Enjoy cold or microwave for 45-60 seconds for warm oats.

Notes

Don’t skip the chia seeds—they create the creamy texture. Mix protein powder with a splash of milk first to prevent clumps. Use room temperature peanut butter for easier mixing. Overnight oats keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and milk, and maple syrup instead of honey.
