A quick and easy homemade version of turkey and cheese lunchables, perfect for kids’ snacks and lunchboxes. This recipe combines savory turkey, creamy cheese, crunchy crackers, and fresh veggies for a balanced and satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz deli turkey slices (freshly sliced turkey breast recommended)
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes (sharp or mild, Colby jack as alternative)
  • 1 cup whole grain crackers (about 30 crackers)
  • 1 cup baby carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 1/2 cup grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup hummus or ranch dip (optional)
  • Optional extras: small pickles, apple slices, or a few pretzels

Instructions

  1. Cut 4 oz of cheddar cheese into small, bite-sized cubes about 1/2 inch in size.
  2. Lay out approximately 6 oz of deli turkey slices and fold or roll them gently to fit neatly into your container.
  3. Rinse 1 cup of baby carrots and 1/2 cup of grape tomatoes. Halve the tomatoes and cut carrots into sticks.
  4. Portion out about 1 cup of whole grain crackers, keeping them separate to stay crisp.
  5. Spoon 1/4 cup of hummus or ranch dip into a small ramekin or container, if using.
  6. Place the turkey, cheese cubes, crackers, and veggies neatly into your lunch container with dividers to keep flavors separate.
  7. Refrigerate the lunchables until ready to serve, storing in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.

Notes

Keep crackers separate until serving to maintain crispness. Use fresh deli turkey and hand-cut cheese cubes for best texture. Prepare the same day if possible or store refrigerated up to 24 hours. Pat cheese cubes dry if sweating occurs. Folding turkey slices keeps the snack tidy.
