A vibrant and easy-to-assemble charcuterie board featuring red, white, and blue ingredients perfect for holiday gatherings and celebrations.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Red grapes, halved
  • Sliced red bell peppers
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
  • Assorted cheeses: creamy brie, mozzarella balls, sharp white cheddar (e.g., Cabot cheddar)
  • Greek yogurt or tangy white dip (optional)
  • Cauliflower florets or jicama sticks
  • Almonds or cashews, lightly toasted
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Blue corn tortilla chips or pita chips
  • Blue cheese crumbles (optional)
  • Sliced salami or prosciutto
  • Honey or fig jam
  • Fresh mint or basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Rinse all fresh fruits and veggies thoroughly. Hull and halve strawberries, slice red bell peppers and cherry tomatoes, and cut cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  2. Cut cheeses into bite-sized cubes or wedges. Arrange mozzarella balls in a small bowl to prevent rolling. Slice salami or prosciutto into thin strips or folds for easy picking.
  3. Lightly toast almonds or cashews in a dry pan over medium heat until fragrant, stirring often. Let cool before adding to the board (optional).
  4. Start by placing small bowls or ramekins for dips and nuts on the board, spacing them out.
  5. Create clusters of red, white, and blue ingredients in separate sections but allow some overlap for a natural flow.
  6. Fill in gaps with smaller items like blueberries, mint leaves, and chips. Vary the shapes and textures to keep it interesting.
  7. Drizzle a little honey or place a small jar of fig jam near the cheeses for guests to enjoy.
  8. Add fresh herbs on top for color and aroma.
  9. Blot any excess fruit juices gently with a paper towel to keep the board neat.

Notes

Serve at room temperature for best flavor. Prep ingredients ahead but assemble just before serving to keep freshness. Use small bowls to keep dips and nuts tidy. Avoid overcrowding the board for easy picking. Blot excess fruit juices to prevent sogginess. Substitute nuts with seeds for allergies and use vegan cheeses for a dairy-free option.
