A light, refreshing fruit salad featuring ripe strawberries, grapes, kiwi, and orange segments with a honey-lime dressing and optional mint and chia seeds. Perfect for a quick snack or colorful side.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
  • 2 medium kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 large orange, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves, chopped (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse 2 cups of fresh strawberries under cold water. Remove the green tops (hull) and slice them into halves or quarters depending on size.
  2. Rinse 1 cup of seedless grapes and slice them in half. If grapes are very small, you can leave them whole.
  3. Peel 2 medium kiwis and slice them into thin rounds or half-moons.
  4. Peel 1 large orange, removing as much pith as possible. Cut the orange into chunks or segments, carefully removing any seeds.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice until combined.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, gently fold together the strawberries, grapes, kiwi, and orange chunks using a wooden or silicone spoon to keep the fruit intact.
  7. Drizzle the honey-lime dressing over the fruit and toss lightly to coat evenly without crushing the fruit.
  8. Chop a handful of fresh mint leaves and sprinkle over the salad. If using, add 1 teaspoon of chia seeds for texture and nutrition. Toss gently to combine.
  9. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Use ripe but firm strawberries to avoid sogginess. Fold fruit gently to keep texture intact. Salad benefits from chilling at least 15 minutes before serving. Can be stored in the fridge up to 24 hours with gentle stirring before serving. Substitute honey with agave or maple syrup for vegan option. Optional chia seeds add crunch and nutrition.
