A game-day snack board featuring crispy, buttery pretzel bites arranged in a football shape with cheeses, meats, and dips. Perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (16 oz) frozen pretzel bites
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning (optional)
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
  • 8 oz pepper jack cheese, sliced
  • 4 oz spreadable cheese (like Boursin or garlic herb cheese)
  • 8 oz salami, sliced
  • 6 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup beer cheese dip
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme) for garnish
  • Grapes or apple slices for garnish
  • Pickles or cornichons for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the frozen pretzel bites in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up, shaking the pan halfway through.
  3. While the pretzel bites are baking, melt the 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a small microwave-safe bowl.
  4. As soon as the pretzel bites come out of the oven, brush them generously with the melted butter.
  5. Sprinkle the coarse sea salt over the buttered pretzel bites. If using everything bagel seasoning, sprinkle that on too.
  6. Let the pretzel bites cool for about 5 minutes.
  7. Place your large wooden board or platter on your work surface. Arrange small bowls for the dips (mustard, beer cheese dip, and honey) in a line down the center of the board.
  8. Arrange the cooled pretzel bites around the dip bowls, forming an oval football shape, wider in the middle and narrower at the ends.
  9. Fill in the center of the football with the cheese cubes and meat slices. Place cheddar and pepper jack cubes in clusters, fold salami slices into quarters, and drape prosciutto in loose ribbons.
  10. Tuck fresh herbs, grape clusters, apple slices, and pickles into any empty spaces.
  11. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, bake the pretzel bites 2 minutes longer than package directions. Brush with butter immediately after baking. Serve within an hour for best texture.
