  • Juice of 1 medium fresh lemon
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz / 240 ml) warm water (about 110°F / 43°C)
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey (or maple syrup/agave nectar for vegan option)
  • 56 fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. Warm 1 cup (240 ml) of water until warm but not boiling, around 110°F (43°C).
  2. Roll the lemon on the counter, cut in half, and juice it using a citrus juicer or by hand, removing seeds.
  3. In a glass or jar, combine warm water, ¼ teaspoon Himalayan pink salt, and fresh lemon juice. Stir well until salt dissolves (about 30 seconds).
  4. Stir in 1 teaspoon raw honey (or preferred sweetener) until fully blended.
  5. If using, add fresh mint leaves and ¼ teaspoon ground ginger. Stir gently to infuse flavors.
  6. Taste and adjust salt or honey as desired for balance.
  7. Serve immediately for best flavor and benefits.

Use warm water, not boiling, to preserve honey enzymes and lemon flavor. Fresh lemon juice is preferred over bottled. Adjust salt carefully to avoid overpowering taste.
